About me
Thank you for visiting my page! My name is Dan Smith, but some of you will know me by my stage name, Dan the Guitarist. I've played guitar, sang and performed live shows for the best part of 20 years – making my first buck busking in Hawaii aged 9! Since then, I’ve performed at numerous venues, spent time as a lead guitarist and frontman for a resident hotel band in Tenerife, and supported and played with the 70's band Mud2.
After years of auditions and trying - my dreams of becoming a Cruiseship Musician have come true and on 24th February I will have boarded the Disney Wish, which I shall be a resident on for three months.
A snippet of me
I have over 200 songs in my ever-growing repertoire, covering a range of genres including Rock, Pop, Folk, Soul...and even Disney! My songs span from the 60’s to the current charts; including dance classics, sing-alongs and easy-listening background music. I can adapt my performances to suit whatever the occasion may be – pub gigs, festivals, birthday parties, weddings or whatever you require! If it’s a big occasion and your special song isn’t in my repertoire – with reasonable notice I may be able to learn it in time for the event! I try to be as flexible as possible to make your event special – even hosting a karaoke session between my sets is a possibility!
How to make a booking?
** PLEASE NOTE I SHALL BE UNAVALIABLE FOR BOOKINGS WHILST ON THE DISNEY WISH BETWEEN THE 24TH FEBRUARY - 2ND JUNE **
Please contact me using the form below (or by whatever method you prefer!) giving an outline of what you are looking for and I’ll get back to you promptly.
Once we have confirmed a date and location, I will provide a quote which is confirmed with the payment and acknowledgement of a deposit, normally 50%. This process gives both of us assurance regarding the arrangement. The balance is due on completion of my performance on the night, either in cash or by BACs transfer.
Invoices can be provided for business customers, however if payment is not made on the night a supplement of 10% is payable.
Please note that for cancellations made less than 14 days before the event, deposits are not refunded but may be used against a mutually agreed rescheduled date in the following 6 months.
